No. 1 Bristol sky meadow

This is a roof garden of a 1970s office complex converted into apartments by the PG Group.

With its dark water channel and meadow-like bands of flowery naturalistic planting flanked by trellised apple trees, the garden references the ancient River Frome that once ran through Lewin’s Mead, or meadow.

An open lawn bounded by espaliered apple trees separates two distinct seating areas - a pool side deck scented with plantings of lavender and rosemary and a dining/BBQ terrace shaded by a wisteria and jasmine-clad arbour.
